Origin

Over five years, Posthuman Lab have been developing a recipe for creating 3D printed jewelry and accessories that can hold up complex designs & quality over time. We are now opening that process to outside projects.

What projects can be made?

Literally anything — from fine jewelry with diamonds, fashion accessories, cosplay objects to home decor, museum art & furniture.

The methods we use

Different projects need different processes. We choose the method after we look at the idea, sketch or design you share.

• SLA 3D printing. Photopolymer cured layer by layer at very fine resolution.
  Best for: intricate three dimensional forms, intertwined geometry, smooth mirror finish, light to moderate weight.
  Materials: high-precision photopolymer, TPU.
• SLM metal printing. Metal powder fused layer by layer. This produces geometries that cannot be casted, and it is where our most complex work lives.
  Best for: heavier pieces, internal structures and interlocking forms that a mold cannot release.
  Materials: 925 Sterling Silver, Nickel-free Brass, Stainless Steel.
• Wax 3D printing & casting. A 3D printed wax master feeds a lost-wax casting process. Precious metals, contemporary geometry.
  Best for: precious metals at full density, fine surface definition.
  Materials: 925 Sterling Silver, Nickel-free Brass, Stainless Steel, Gold, White Gold, Palladium.
